There are many new art genres raise and fall these days, but some artists still work in traditions of the past centuries masters like Monet. Well, almost. Artist Ekaterina Chernova puts contemporary twist to her landscape oil paintings.
In the old days artists decided it was a good idea to go outside with their easels and oil paint and create their paintings outside in the fields, parks, and gardens, just so they could capture and correctly depict light. The entire paintings were created on location, and this is how impressionism was born. Ekaterina Chernova is a contemporary artist, who travels with her lightweight easel and a backpack of paint.
“I really liked traveling by car or train as a kid, and was always fascinated with everything I see through the window. Now I take several hours to stay in a beautiful place, enjoy the view, and transform those feelings of joy and excitement onto canvas” - says artist Ekaterina Chernova.
